WHAT ARE CEUs?

 Continuing Education involves participating in educational programs that enhance your knowledge, skills, or abilities relevant to your professional practice. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) quantify this educational contact time. Typically, for home study and seminar-based courses, 1 CEU corresponds to two hours of learning (0.5 CEUs per educational hour).

RENEWING ONE OR MULTIPLE FAE CERTIFICATIONS

The recertification requirement for renewing multiple FAE credentials is ten (10) CEUs every two-year reporting cycle. All CEUs applied towards recertification MUST be earned within the latest two-year period of active credential status.

FAE Recertification Applications are typically processed on a first-come, first-served basis, with most applications completed within 1-2 business days. However, applications requiring additional review by a committee or board may take longer. For mailed applications, the postmark date serves as the official receipt date and is considered for any expiring credentials.
